Hi Barry,
I’ve had tinnitus for 18 months now ever since getting shingles. I had shingles on my left hand side and my tinnitus is in my left ear, I have also lost part of my hearing on that side as well. None of the doctors I have consulted agree on the cause of my tinnitus which is so frustrating as I know for a fact that it was the shingles virus that caused the damage.
My ear drum felt weird three days after my shingles diagnosis and the tinnitus just erupted in that ear. It really is so unbearable as it’s such a screeching sound. Please let me know if people have had an operation to cure this, I’m more than happy to lose the remaining 80% of my hearing on that side.
Thanks in anticipation Barry.
Jillian
Dear Jillian,
I’m very sorry to hear this. Shingles that affects the ear is known as Ramsay Hunt Syndrome. This can cause pain, hearing loss, vertigo and tinnitus.
You do not want to have surgery to cut the auditory nerve. People have done this and lost their hearing but had the tinnitus remain. Then tinnitus is the only thing they hear.
Arches Tinnitus Formula may help to reduce the sounds. It has been scientifically proven to reduce tinnitus for the great majority of those who use it. It is especially helpful for those with hearing loss-induced tinnitus. This can occur from exposure to noise and loud sound over time and also those who have lost hearing due to ototoxic medications.
It can take up to three months to get the full benefit so we recommend Arches Starter Kit, a full three-month supply of four bottles.
Wishing you quiet times,

Hi Barry,
I’m withdrawing from Ativan and I’m almost on my third bottle of your formula. My husband just ordered 4 bottles too. You have our business but I really need an honest answer from you about the safety of taking Tinnitus Formula in withdrawal?
The Ginkgo biloba acts on glutamate and my GABA and Glutamate levels are very messed up. I don’t want to jeopardize my healing in any way. Are there other people in Benzo withdrawal taking this formula? How are they doing with it? I still have another bottle to go until I should make a decision whether it works for me or not. I notice that my tinnitus is less loud when I’m not stressed out. When I’m stressed it goes way up. Is your formula going to work for stress/benzo related tinnitus?
Thank you,
Cynthia W.
Dear Cynthia,
Ativan is what is known as a benzodiazepine medication. It provides synthetic GABA to the brain. The brain thinks it has plenty and doesn’t make any more. During withdrawal, GABA levels plummet and glutamate levels soar. Glutamate is an excitatory neurotransmitter and is responsible for the horrible side effects of withdrawal, including tinnitus.
The bilobalide component of Arches Ginkgo Max 26/7 is a glutamate antagonist. It doesn’t do anything one way or the other for GABA but does reduce the amount of glutamate.
Arches Tinnitus Formula is very safe to take while withdrawing from any benzodiazepine medication. Many people use it during withdrawal and find it helps mitigate some of the worst effects. It will not jeopardize your hearing but will be protective of it.
And yes, stress is a major trigger for tinnitus. Arches Tinnitus Formula doesn’t directly address stress but Arches Tinnitus Stress Formula does. This combination of high dosage B-Complex vitamins replaces B vitamins that are destroyed by stress and helps calm the nervous system.
Wishing you quiet times,

Hi Barry!
Is Ginkgo biloba really effective for tinnitus – even for those cases not caused by high blood pressure? I’m kind of desperate here now, so please tell me that you are not selling this just to make as much money as possible from desperate people (like me) for something that doesn’t help.
Erik
Dear Erik,
This is a valid question and deserves a good answer. I’ll try to satisfy your doubts on the issue.
To begin, I have tinnitus and have had it for about 45 years, since my mid-twenties. Arches Tinnitus Formula has successfully reduced my tinnitus by about two-thirds and continues to be effective. It is most effective for the great majority of people who have tinnitus due to hearing loss and/or noise exposure. High blood pressure will aggravate tinnitus but doesn’t cause it. Hearing loss entails damage to the nerves in the inner ear. As such, it is considered nerve damage and there is no current cure. Our product does not “cure” tinnitus (nothing does) but will reduce the sound level and intensity.
But there is more than this anecdotal evidence. There is solid science behind use of the product. The German Commission E, which is similar to the US Food and Drug Administration, has long recommended Ginkgo biloba for tinnitus in a dosage of 240 mg to 720 mg daily. Our dosage of 480 mg daily is right in the middle of their suggestion.
Several scientific studies, published in peer-reviewed articles have clearly shown Ginkgo to be effective for tinnitus. One study published in Neuropsychiatric Disease and Treatment in 2011 clearly demonstrates how high quality ginkgo reduces tinnitus noise.
Another, more recent study, published in Journal of Otolaryngology – ENT Research in 2017 is further proof. Otolaryngologists are Ear, Nose & Throat physicians.
Finally, a study published in Otology & Neurotology (for ear doctors) in 2003, shows the validity of zinc for reducing tinnitus, which is also found in Arches Tinnitus Formula.
There are many bogus products available for tinnitus that claim to be a “cure.” There is no such thing. Some products even claim to be “miracle cures” that will be effective in one or two days. Arches Tinnitus Formula can take up to three months for you to see benefits from the full effect.
I encourage you to ask any of these other companies to provide scientific evidence, such as I have just laid out for you. They will not be able to provide this. Only Arches Tinnitus Formula is a scientifically-based product that is effective for most people who use it.
Wishing you quiet times,
