Daily zinc supplementation lowered subjective tinnitus in 82%!

A recent clinical study on the role of zinc and the treatment of tinnitus showed some very favorable results. One of its conclusions found that 82% of patients who took a daily dosage of 50 mg of zinc for two months experienced a subjective decrease in the severity of their tinnitus. The decrease in severity of the tinnitus was not significant in patients receiving a placebo. It concluded that "patients with tinnitus may have low blood zinc levels (31%) and clinical and subjective improvement can be achieved by oral zinc medication."

Zinc deficiencies are very common and lack of zinc is a known cause of tinnitus. Another clinical study has also shown zinc supplementation to be very helpful for many people with tinnitus. Elemental zinc is very difficult to absorb and only about 5% gets into the body's system. Our zinc is amino-acid chelated which improves absorption to 40%. Zinc does not have any adverse reaction with any prescription medication.
