rTMS has not yet been approved for tinnitus treatment in the US and is still in various clinical trials. Barry Keate wrote an excellent overview of the procedure which can be viewed at http://www.tinnitusformula.com/infocenter/articles/treatments/rtms.aspx
and read a recent tinnitus blog posting from March at http://www.tinnitusformula.com/blog/?p=28

Those interested in learning if clinical trials are being conducted near them should speak with their ENT physician or try searching the Internet specific to their region.

I have suffered from tinnitus for 1 year and 2 months. It never is in the background, but always loud and to the forefront. To sleep, I take 2 OTC sleeping pills every night. I've tried Arches and Ive tried the other treatment avail at Walgreens to no improvement. Is rTMS a possibility? I am desperate for some relief.

I live in Brazil. I would like have information about results of this "repetitive transcranial magnetic stimulation".
I am grateful by information.
